Just an Idea

"Out Where You Are"
The National Equality March in Washington D.C. on October 10th is gaining a lot of attention and has galvanized the community. Unfortunately it is not possible for everyone who wishes to attend to make it. Impact Houston needs a project to allow local people to visibly participate. The week-end in question is heavily scheduled and a significant portion of the leadership of the organization will be in Washington so the project will need to require a minimum time commitment. 'Out Where You Are' is a new media campaign designed to allow people to show their support for the March. We are calling it "Out Where You Are." We encourage you to take pictures of yourself holding the sign you would have held in Washington D.C. if you had been able to make it to the march. Then use that picture as their profile pic on facebook and other social networking sites and to send the picture to Impact Houston for inclusion on IH's website and facebook page. A slide show video may also be produced.
